Pre-Delivery Preparation:
- Underfloor Heating: Ensure underfloor heating is fully operational and tested before delivery. This allows any residual moisture in the subfloor to dissipate (maximum 1.8% CM at 45%-55% RH). All wet trades must be complete.
- Conventionally Heated Areas: After all wet trades are finished, maintain a warm, dry environment (20-22ºC, 45-55% RH).
On-Site Acclimatisation:
Underfloor Heating:
- Unwrap and stack floor packs with ample space for air circulation.
- Rotate packs daily, ensuring bottom packs are elevated by at least 50mm.
- Use battens between layers to facilitate airflow.
- Maintain room temperature at 20-22ºC and 45-55% RH for at least ten days.
Conventionally Heated Areas:
- Unwrap packs and stack, allowing space for acclimatisation.
- Place battens between layers.
- Maintain room temperature at 20-22ºC and 45-55% RH for at least one week.
Fixing:
Underfloor Heating:
- Reduce underfloor heating to 15-18ºC before laying.
- Follow adhesive and finish manufacturer instructions for curing times.
- Gradually increase floor temperature by 1ºC per day up to normal levels (maximum 27ºC).
Conventionally Heated Areas:
- Lay the floor with heating operating at normal levels.
